Building Transparency relies on our partners and pilot users to advocate for and support our mission of inspiring actions that positively impact our world. These users help test and share feedback on the new features and material categories of the EC3 tool.

Our partners’ funding helps support our mission of driving climate action. We use it to support further development of the EC3 tool and to accelerate the availability of tested features in the free and public version.

We offer multiple partner types depending on your specific needs and role. In addition, our team offers hands-on, dedicated support for using EC3 effectively.

Industry Partnership

Our industry partnerships are for organizations interested in contributing expert beta testing of our functions and data prior to broad release. These partners also have the ability to inform material category development and filtering while advising EPD quality within a material category. Benefits include:

EC3 Enterprise Partnership

An EC3 enterprise partnership is a type of lead sponsorship for organizations that require more custom tool functionality in terms of data, API access, tool customization, and more. Benefits beyond what’s included for Industry Partners are:

Individual hosted instance of the EC3 tool on a dedicated server of their choosing

Dedicated Online & Biweekly User Support for multiple user groups within and outside of the Enterprise Partner company, as needed

Custom Branding, Login, User Interface & Workflow

Portfolio Level Tracking & Reporting

Assurance that any new functionality that would benefit the public users of EC3 will become a pilot feature for broader testing

Individual EC3 Pilot User Access

Building Transparency offers individual users access to the pilot version of EC3. Similar to our corporate and enterprise partners, we expect that all individual users will advocate for our public tool’s future development and expansion by helping test the many pilot material categories and exciting new features made available to them as part of a larger beta testing group. Our individual users receive:

Access to pilot features and product categories for testing and use prior to them becoming publicly available

Quarterly pilot user “Office Hours” with the Building Transparency team to:

  • Learn about newly released and upcoming pilot categories and features
  • Provide direct feedback on pilot features and categories
  • Ask questions

Inform the prioritization of additional improvements or further functionality within the EC3 tool
